Ancient Angkor was a particularly tolerant place and welcomed traders fromeverywhere. All religions were well represented and the Muslim man even madefriends with the dog. However a Hindu prince was put out for some unknown reasonand was squabbling with a local wrestler. The sacred ficus, wrapped with its yellowcloth, cast a calming shade that helped dispel the Prince’s wrath.
